I wish I was better at blogging because I don't keep a journal either. The last post was just before Christmas so we'll start there. This year we spent Christmas with the Davis family in St. George and then went to Vegas the day after to see Nate's mom and her husband. We had a good Christmas and were happy to spend time with family!!
For New Year's we spent time with friends here in Cedar, we played games, laughed, rang in the New Year and then went home. I sometimes wonder if Cedar is making us boring :)
Nate knew better than to forget Valentine's Day (again) and he definitely didn't forget it!! We ended up going to San Diego for the weekend. Although there were ulterior motives, Nate actually applied for a position with the San Diego Police Department, we had a blast!! Of course we didn't take any pictures while we were there :( The following weekend Nate flew out to Washington DC to apply for a few jobs out there as well. He took a lot of video but no photos, gosh!!! Nate's been working very hard to find a career that he enjoys and he has started working on his Master's.
After all of the running around in February we got to go to HAWAII!!!! Courtesy of Mack & Tami Sorensen. We went on a 10 day vacation. So much happened while we were there. Nate's poor mom broke her shoulder and had to have surgery, missed the cruise ship and had to fly to the next island after the surgery. There was a Tsunami warning in Waikiki while we happened to be in Waikiki, the best day of weather and we had to stay in our room on the 10th floor of our hotel. The whole trip was a bit crazy but we had so much fun and are very grateful to Mack & Tami for their generosity!!
While we were in Hawaii I found out I got a new job with Wells Fargo here in Cedar City. This is great news because I'll be making more money AND we'll have full benefits. This is huge!!! This gives us a more realistic opportunity to talk about trying to have children. We want to wait to see if Nate gets any of the jobs he has applied for because we could be moving anywhere in the country but at least we feel like we can talk about it more seriously. The process for any of these jobs is probably 6-9 months for the application, testing and interviews so we'll see.
That about sums up the last 3 months of our lives...
