Poor Nate...

Jess and Fam... leaving for ten days. Nate... dog watching for the Davis'. Now how is that fair?!?! Well, it really isn't but hopefully this will help mom have a good time knowing that Meesha (dog) is being taken care of by "almost family", since Meesh is the favorite daughter haha. Alex will back me up on this one ;) Anyway we fly out tomorrow and I am so excited!! Slick Rick isn't too fond of the "Formal Night" on the cruise, which is pretty funny to listen to him huff and puff about, but I think he'll survive! Mom is stressed that we won't have fun because we let her do all the planning. Alex and I... we're just stoked for family time, sun and no work or school!!! Nate and I haven't done anything as far as wedding plans so when I get back I guess it's pretty much a MUST!! Have a good week everyone, we'll catch up soon!!! Love!

IT'S OFFICIAL!!!!!

WE'RE ENGAGED!!  Let the planning begin... after the cruise that is ha ha.  This weekend we went to Vegas for Nate's niece's birthday dinner and I had my cousin's fiance's bridal shower as well.  We stayed with Nate's mom, Kitty.  Last night after dinner we were all still at the table, minus Nate, Portia (niece), Dawson (nephew) and little Carter (nephew).  As always "Unka Nate" was a human playground in the living room.  They LOVE him!!! I started to get up to go play too when the three kids come running and laughing in the kitchen, each with a banner around their neck... one said "will you,"  another said, "be our," and the last said, "Aunt? :)"  Nate then opens the ring box and sets it on the table in front of me.  I'm told my face was as red as the Dr. Pepper can sitting on the table, luckily there is no picture to prove it!!  I waited for him to put it on my finger (which for some reason he thought i would just yank it out of the box myself ha ha). What a great end to a great weekend!!! In case you're still wondering... I said YES!  So the wedding is August 9th in the St. George Temple.  Pretty much going to be the hottest day (temperature wise you perverts) of my life! HA HA

As of lately...

10 days and I will be cruisin'... YEAH!!! I really can't wait, although I have to say I am going to miss Nate, A LOT!! Some may say "pathetic" and to those I say "shut it" ha ha. Anyway this weekend we went to Cedar to visit my Grams, Friday night we went bowling and I SUCK! I bowled a 117 and a 112, I think. Grams said, "Jess you're better than I thought you would be." Um... thank you?!?! ha ha I sure do love her. My Uncle Brian had 8... yes 8 strikes in a row!!! Nate bowled a 128 or so, so I don't feel too bad ;) We're headed to Vegas this coming weekend and I can't wait! I love going places with Nate, he sings in the car, sometimes for real and other times just being a spaz. He and I really are the biggest dorks but I love that because I never feel stupid when I'm acting like an idiot around him, he just laughs. We set a date... I know you love how I buried this little fact in the middle of my blog, I don't have a ring yet but we did set a date... AUGUST 9th... ST. GEORGE... BE THERE! I'll let you all know when it's "officially official" but until then, clear that weekend in your calendars. On another note, I think I might be going to esthetician school in September. I know it seem that I can't make up my mind as to what my career should entail, and you're right, so why not get involved in a few different things as to make a better decision... RIGHT?!?!? OK... enough blogging for today, back to work! Love you all!!!

Good Morning!

Well, I've been in St. George for three weeks and life is great! Nate and I have been dating and trying our best not to talk about the upcoming events, easier said than done :) Last week we were at the Temple a lot, we saw the Joseph Smith movie (which I've seen before but not for a while) and it got me thinking... I don't know that I would have been able to survive back then. I'd like to think that I would have enough faith and physical strength to endure what they went through but I do have my doubts about it. It really made me stop and think about how lucky we are, not to be forced from our homes on numerous occasions because of what we know to be true. That alone is such a blessing. Not to mention the medical advancements of today that many could not survive without. I guess what I'm trying to say is I am so grateful for my life and for the gospel. I finally feel at peace with myself and know that I am on the right path again. It's never easy, and sometimes we struggle wondering if it really is worth it, but that's what is so great about this journey in life... we get to decide that for ourselves. Other than that Alex came down again this weekend and the three Davis girls went shopping for our upcoming cruise to Mexico!!!! We haven't really had a family vacation since Disneyland in '97 (I think). I am so excited!!! We're porting out of New Orleans and will be gone for ten days total. Don't worry I catch enough rays for all of you ;)

My First Post

After much torment from all of you BEGGING me to blog, and a little down time at work, I have decided I might as well join you all in this blogfest! I moved back to St. George nearly two weeks ago and am loving it. Currently living with the parentals, which isn't bad, I just feel like a mooch. Nate and I are dating, for real, not phone dates anymore and that makes me happy. I work for the new tv station called Utah's RTN, we run old shows like Hogans Heroes, Happy Days, and my Pops favorite, Bonanza (just to name a few). I like my job so far and am loving the warm weather down here. I do miss my sister and friends up in the SLC but realize this is where I need to be. Last weekend was so much fun spending time with my wonderful friends that came down to visit and I'm so glad Nate had some boys to golf with on saturday because frankly, I just haven't picked up the sport... YET! I've got to find some left-handed clubs first =] Alex is coming down for the weekend and I'm stoked to see her, no huge plans. Nate and I might join Beau, Tiffy and Andie in Mesquite for some fun in the sun. So tell me friends... as boring as it was... how did I do on my very first blog? Ha ha!
