Room 309

For the last three weeks we have been practically living in room 309. I got a new job with Wells Fargo and have been training up in Salt Lake for 3-4 days each week. It's been nice being able to come up here and see good friends and just get out of Cedar for a while. I know, I know... we really haven't been in Cedar much to begin with for the last few months but we do love to get out of Cedar as much as possible. NOTE: I may be using the term "we" a little loosely here, I don't think Nate is as passionate about not being in Cedar as I am.

I don't have a strong hatred for this place, I just don't care to be here anymore. I am grateful, however, that we have been able to learn some things from being here. So without further ado...

TOP TEN LESSONS LEARNED IN CEDAR:

10. Don't leave anything of value in your truck... your window WILL get shattered and they WILL take your IPOD. But eventually you win a NEW & UPGRADED IPod and the cops catch the little bastards that did it and you get RESTITUTION!!!!! HOLLA!!!!!

9. Walmart is NOT as cool as you think it is (sorry Sara!), it never has been and never will be... you just haven't been out in the world that has somewhere other than Walmart to buy the essentials.

8. I'd rather deal with SLC traffic, at least people are driving the speed limit + there :)

7. Jobs in Cedar are encouraging... encouraging us to move on!

6. Living in Cedar=increasing our DVD collection 10 fold... yikes!!!!!

5. Free rent is a blessing!!

4. Good family & friends DO make a difference.

3. Vanilla Coke is my friend and I am embracing it!! (They say good friends are hard to find, this one sure is).

2. Responsibilities are overwhelming sometimes, but it builds character... RIGHT?!?!

1. When driving in the snow in Cedar make sure that a certain "DADDYBOY," (yes that was his legal name) is NOT on the road, if he is you'll get stuck with a $$$ deductible because he does not feel the need to carry auto insurance :(

Ok, so I know that it sounds like I complain a lot about Cedar and that I can't wait to get out of here... and you're right :)

But in all seriousness, we do have good friends here and we are in a good place while trying to figure out what we want to be when we grow up (if we ever grow up). We are blessed, I believe we are more blessed than we care to admit sometimes because we have such high hopes for our future. A future that only includes visiting Cedar and the people we'll miss once we leave this joint :)

So for those of you who think it's terrible living out of a suitcase and having room 309 to call home, we're doing just fine here and actually like the change for now. We don't complain as much as it seems from this post but I guess I feel if I vent to the blog I'm not really complaining, unless you really know me so well that you can here my tone in the things I've said. If that's the case, I apologize!! I'm a surviver and will be just fine ha ha.

Thank you Room 309 we appreciate the hospitality and look forward to seeing you again.
